Our Beloved

We love our Beloved.

We have a passion for her unlike anything on this earth.

She can be cold like a winter’s day or warm like a summer’s day, but she has a beauty undefined.

By any known word.

People every day say we are crazed.

For loving her with all of our heart.

There are people who would love to tear us apart.

But who are you to tell us, we cannot love our Beloved.

It is our choice to love who we love so much

If you take her away then you have lied to us and our Beloved.

You may not know this but…                                                                      that little lie is most hurtful to us.

For we love our Beloved.

We hope and pray to our magnificent and almighty gods every day.

Hopeful for another day with our Beloved.

If you take her away we will never ever be the same.

For our love for her will never be ended.

We will fight for ever if we have to, in order to save our one true love.

Yes, Give us our Beloved, Our give us death for it is a pain we cannot bare to live with.

We love her forever and always

Our beloved. . .

Gun Laws in America
Should gun laws in America be stricter than what they already are? My answer is no they shouldn’t, if anything they should be less strict. Since the original 13 colonies, guns have been a foundation of America. Even though guns are a foundation of America, there are people that want to see stricter gun laws, but then again there are people that want to see gun laws uplifted liked the NRA. Gun laws should be less strict in America.
Guns have always been a necessary means of protection for the United States. Guns were used to protect the 13 colonies from Indians, animals, guns, even the British eventually. Now guns are used to protect ourselves from crimes, war, and sometimes animals when we are hunting. So the reason we use and need guns is still the same and always will be the same. My friend’s dad is ex- Special Forces and he told me they can sometimes be on the hit list of terrorists, so they need guns to protect themselves from these threats even on American soil. The gun laws that we have now actually limit the ability of these soldiers getting semi-automatic rifles. Regular people need guns to protect their homes from local gangs or thieves. A lot of the people in my family said that they have guns not just for hunting but also for protecting themselves from robbers.
I got all of my research from EbscoHost, which gets it sources from credible sources. Guns have been part of American lives ever since America was founded by the British. “The colonists needed guns in order to hunt and also to defend themselves, in a land with no laws (Frederick, Allen).” It is important because now you know how much guns are integrated into the American life and why a lot of Americans want to keep it that way. “The NRA is the most powerful lobby in the U.S.A. (Kopel, David).” This is important because they fight for our gun rights every day, and since they are the most powerful lobby they can have a lot more influence.
This research has guided my project by giving me new insight on my topic. It also taught me about who fights for are gun rights and background to why the American people want less strict gun laws. This research also taught me how very important this topic is and how it is a very controversial topic. Both sides have very great arguments, but in the end I choose the side that wants to loosen the gun laws. This research has made this topic very important to me.

I want to research this topic further because it is a very interesting topic and it is very controversial. Both sides of the argument have really great points. I could make an argument about this topic saying that gun laws should be less strict, that way people have easier access to guns in order to protect themselves. My research question will be what are the gun laws in America. I think this is a good research question because it will allow me to look at different laws and allow me to see which ones we need and which ones need to be taken out.

The Sun News,

Dear Editor and Chief,
My name is Lince Cook. I am in the 10th grade and I go to Early College High School in Conway, SC
I’m writing to address the huge problem of gun laws in America
I believe that gun laws in America should be less strict because no matter how strict the laws, you can’t stop anybody from getting a gun. People can counter my argument, saying that since other countries have strict gun laws, they have less crime. This is true, but we have crime in America not because are gun laws aren’t strict enough, but because people feel like they have the freedom and the right to commit these crimes. Everybody should be able to own a gun, if they are taught the proper way to use a gun.
Guns have been an American tradition ever since, we were the thirteen colonies. If the government takes away are guns, then we have lost a tradition.

Thank you so much for your time. I appreciate your help and hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,

Lince Cook
